hey guys, as some of you know i just got an eclipse dvd unit and i have been playing around with it the past 2 days. i was originally gonna sell my pioneer HU but it kinda sucks cuz the eclipse doesnt play WMA and im not loving the layout. i was wondering if there is a way to hook up both HU's to my amps? so that i have a choice between the two(essentially using the eclipse only for dvd and the pioneer for music) any info will be great. thanks!
i suppose that it could be done, youd have to find somewhere to mount the 2nd amp. give it power and have the rcas split and have a selector on them. would seem silly

all my amps are mounted already. im just trying to figure out a way to hook up my regular CD HU to use that exclusively for music CD's and the eclipse use exclusively for dvd's.
hmmm...if one or the other HU has a RCA input, you can chose one to feed into the other via one of those things...dman...can't remember
or if your amp is able to take regular single or RCA imput...one huh to each

i believe the av8022 has two AUX inputs. use one input from the output of your cd player. set the cd player volume so that the system output matches that of the dvd and radio at the same volume setting when you switch from dvd/radio to AUX. leave the cd player volume where you set it. use the dvd volume control as the system's master volume control.
hope this helps.
i got your PM. i did a search on the interweb based on the given information. it took about 30 seconds to find the answer. please click on "Description" for a pdf eclipse brochure that has detailed information about the unit.
yea i have that already. that seems to be the only one that i can find online. and its not really a manual that tells you about settings or anything. o well
Does your Eclipse unit have RCA inputs? You can run the RCA's from the Headunit to the Eclipse then from the Eclipse to the Amps.
Hey Kevin, would an RCA Y Adapter work too? Like have both HU's have their own RCA's then at the amp, have an RCA adapter on the left and right inputs?>
