connecting amp to factory tC stereo

I am transferring my amp and subs (2 JL 12s and MTX amp)from my old car to my tC. the factory HU is the one with the integrated ipod connection/control.

In my old car the amp is connected using the built in line-level inputs, with a sensor between the speaker wires and inputs to power the amp on/off.

Should I install the amp/subs like they are now? Would they sound better if I use a line output converter from davidnavone.com?

I know neither will sound as good as using an aftermarket HU, but I'm really digging the ipod integration.

If the LOC from davidnavone would be better, how do I wire the remote power lead? Would it connect the HU's power or to a different line? Sorry for such noob questions, but I've never installed a LOC before.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

I'd think it's better to use the LOC from Navone as opposed to the amps speaker level inputs, but I've never compared back to back though. I like the fact that the Navone converters give you 8V of preout voltage.

If you can't find the color chart of the speakers and the color for the ACC turn on lead let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the help. Can you recommend a specific model from navone's? I was thinking about the NE-774V in case I want to expand later?

I did that before, but they have a new product that allows you a 12db adjustable bass boost for the rear(sub) low pass channel, and a regular full range front output.

http://www.davidnavone.com/detail.as...UCT_ID=N-7785V

I'll probably be using that one until I can get my headunit.
