best secure non-oem head unit

hey guys, what do you pro's sugesst for the best head unit with lcd (ie Eclipse AV8022) except with the screen tuck in, and security features? thnx in advance

if i had a choice again i'll get the new clarion. my pioneer avx-p7300dvd motor is already broken after 6 month of using it. : i heard the clarion hold up real well.

Smokey..your Pioneer broke? What did u do to that unit ..i have had my Pioneer cd player for over a year and it had never failed on me..and many other people speak volumes for Pioneer poroducts..i say go with Pioneer but that is just my opinion

i just don't understand. I went through 4 diffrent tapedeck/cd player from pioneer and all of them worked like a champ. but i had alot of problems with there indash dvd. the motor on those things just don't hold up. :

i wanted to get the Premier mainly because it has a two year warrenty rather than a one year.
i say Pioneer (premier) is badass

Edit but i have only had it for like a month so...

Eclipses faces aren't removable, most are pass-through, except for the very top-level one, and the security is very good. you have to put a cd in, and the deck reads it, changes the length of the cd into a code, and then stores it. when you secure the deck, you have to put the cd into the deck to be able to use it. if the wrong cd gets entered 3 times or something, it locks down and you have to take it to a dealer to get it reactivated. basically its impossible to steal if you dont know what cd was put in for the code. hope this helps.

other than that, i dunno. Alpines have the best specs i have found yet. surprisingly better than eclipse in a few areas (important ones! (THD, etc.)) but its all up to you. just go out and listen to a bunch of decks on the same speaks and amp and see which one sounds the best to you. thats the only true way to find the perfect deck.
