Question Low Level Signal problems...help?

I have a Panasonic CQ-7301u Head unit. And it has a Auxuiliry input, i have a sirius satalite radio reciver with a 3.5mm jack to RCA cable going into the AUX port on my Head unit. On CD's i to get a good listening volume i turn it up to level 25 which is about half way. When using the Satalite radio i have to turn it up almost all the way (level 37) Just to hear it at a normal volume.

The Satalite radio recivers volume is up all the way too... Do i need some sort of pre-amp to boost the signal. Im thinking the voltage isnt high enough...wat do you guys think?

I have a Denon DCL-410 level controller in *mint* condition. That would certainly help.

That denon unit is not for boosting the signal coming from the XM Reciever, it is for boosting the output voltage of the headunit's preouts. Which will also boost the CD players loudness too, if you are trying to adjust the loudness of the XM Reciever.

Just wanted to make sure you guys are on the same train of thought here.

That denon unit will simply boost the gain of your headunit's preouts from 2 Volts to higher.

then how do i get the inputs of the Auxilary to be louder. Im sick of turning the dial to MAX just to hear the damn music

Im thinking of building a little pre-amp or something to boost the signal coming from the Sirius unit.
