hey is there a hole in the fire wall where i can feed my power calbe through for my amp? or do i have to drill.
i was looking for it and cant find it.

damn, i know how but its too hard to explain. you dont need to drill or anything, theres an easier way. i remember a thread with pics.... if you cant find it, ill take pics for you....

Its there... you just have to look a bit harder. :wink:

The biggest and best one to use is actually inside the driver's side fenderwell. Jack up that corner of the car, remove the lining, and you'll see a BIG orange grommet you can use. Its big enough for 0 guage wire (I know first hand!) so whatever you want to put through there should work.

Nobody ever said modding a car was easy! There are a few other much smaller holes that you can use. I don't know if you'll be able to fit power wire through them though. They all go into the driver's side footwell. Good luck.

ok, pop your hood, look behind the front passenger side shock (where there are three bolts) , theres a hole there, you'll need to go behind the tire wall... then inside the car right under the passnger feet.

I posted this in another post but oh-well. It is not recomended that you run any wires under a car. Why do you think they are all inside (other than the obvious) It wouldnt take hitting a speed bump more than once, to damage the wire. Than you have to worry bout elements like water. You will be blowing fuses like mad. Sorry drty, not a good idea bro.

Just drill a hole and stick a grommet in it. You'll be fine.

well he doesn't have to but i will, i just made a suggestion. i've been running wires under my car (two diff cars actually) for over 2 years now. Like i said in another post i did it "professionally" and it took me longer than an hour to do it. Nothing has gone wrong and i dont expect it to.

EDIT: Speed bump?? my wires ain't dragging the ground buddy.

There's a some what easy way of doing it.. You find a grumet in your firewall(any rubber) and you get a long screw driver and tape a thin long wire to it.. You try to push the screw driver throught the grumet on the fire wall. And then you take the wire off the screwdriver once it's through to the other side and tape up the power cable to and pull it slowly..

You should have two people to make it easier...

Unfortunately, there's no extra holes in the firewall for the gen3...trust me, I've checked like mad.

As mentioned above, you can go through the existing wiring harness hole on the driver's side, right behind the strut. Other wires run through his. I did awhile ago. You can also use the existing wiring harness on the passenger side firewall. Not as convenient as the wire has to snake around the engine bay. I did this awhile go too...I use it for other wiring stuff.

But the best way is to just drill a hole which I eventually did...you want that power cable to be as short as possible.

Ya thats a good point, I forgot about that one. All wireing should be as short as possible. Power, ground, speaker, etc.. so you dont want to waste a lot of lenght going around, over, and under things for your route.
