Am I hooking up my sub wrong?

Got a new sub today with DVC 2OHM. The sub is rated at 600 W RMS and I bridged it to my amp which puts out 450W RMS x 1 4 OHM and the sub isn't hitting it that hard to be satisfactory. The amp is a Polk C300.2.

Yes, I have the DVC wired in series to a 4 OHM load.

I have it on lowpass and the gain turned all the way up.

WTH? suggestions?

Thanks.

yea its wired exactly like option 2. and yes i had problems with my polk amp compared to my mtx. the mtx amp hits much harder for some reason for having a lower bridged rms rating. i thought it was because my old sub couldnt handle the power since it was rated at 200w rms so i got a new sub with a higher rating. its actually the same sub you have , the Diamond D612D2. I loved it after seeing your excursion vid and ordered one .

howd you set yours up redphoenix?

could it be because the polk amp doesnt have a bass boost and my mtx one does?

its a hott sub, loves power.

bass boost, im going to say no. your best bet is to run no bass boost. it prolongs the life of everything.

maybe thats what you notice though is the lack of bass boost you are used to. im sorry to say it, but maybe you are going to have to get used to it

i run no bass bost.. period

can you change anything on your HU?
