I have this amp and it works wonders

These are just a few remember to pay attention to ohm rating with RMS value

Do you already have the sub? If so, what ohm configuration is it? In other words, at what ohms do you need this power at?

I'll rec. the Diamond D5300.2 off ebay. They sometuimes show up for about 1`30 shipped. It's a class ab 2 ch amp, that when bridged will make 300+watts rms @ 4 ohms.

You can also get a eD nine.2 for that much and have even more power, and a long warranty.

I'd say they are as good, if not better than Elemental Designs. They have a better crossover network if you need it. If you're going to buy eD you're probably better off buying directly from eD.

IMO if you want a cheap amp that hits. I recommend the Sony Xplod 600W 4 Channel, Or the Sony 1000W 2 channel. Either amp is under $140 and works amazingly good for there price. I have the 600w 4 channel powering 2 4x6's, 2 6x9's, and 2 12'' Subs JL Audio. I love it and it was cheap too.

My cheap sub amp...

Kicker DX350. Ran mono to a single 2ohm Kicker 10" Solobaric (round). A great find on eBay from an authorized Kicker dealer. They even gave me a receipt that stated that they installed it, thus giving me a three year warranty instead of the usual one year. It has been a while since I got it, but I think I paid $193 delivered.

There is a guy on www.offtopic.com that is selling a JBL1200.1 for $170 shipped. That would be more than enough to power your woofers . Just don't abuse the gain and you'll be fine

edit: Crap, I just read the original thread over agian. You want a NEW amp. eD would probably be your cheapest NEW alternative, unless you like BOSS

Anyways, there's this dude on CarAudio.com who's selling Diamond D5600.2s for $185 shipped -- brand new in box. Last time I checked, he had about 4-5 left. You may want to contact him. It's probably bit too MUCH power for what you need right now, but there's always room for upgrading. I think RedPhoenix uses the same amp if I'm not mistaken....
