oh yeah the infinity kappas...those are very nice. I was thinking infinity reference speakers only. hehe

well yeah they will play with low wattage but since the system does put out a cer tain about of power so wouldnt the factory speakers play louder than the inifinites because they can only draw so much power vs the infinities who CAN work at low wattages but also have the ability to drain more power?

I dont know much about this stuff really and maybe logic is blocking my thinking of how this stuff is supposed to work.

at anyrate, those speakers WILL work for your car and you will absolutely LOVE them. tweek the tweeters before you replace the door/speaker covers etc. Just in case you didnt know you could do that on those speakers.

oh and one more thing....have you noticed those dont fit into the factory mount holes? Factory mounts only have 3 holes vs these with 4...so if you can mount these speakers onto the facotory mount with the oem speakers then you wont need to buy/make your own adapter plates. You may want to make sure things are well padded/insulated too as these speakers will offer more bass...and might cause things in the door to rattle.

USA Solution Identified

I installed a pair of replacements today that are working perfect so far. These replaced the front 6.5" 2.2 OHM door speakers on my 2001 Sienna. I searched on Amazon.com and found a 6.5" Sony component set for $79. I just checked and the price is up to $101. Go figure... Model #: Sony XSGTX1620S
They fit the existing mounting holes perfectly, no modification required at all. I didn't install the tweeters, the 6.5" V shaped speaker covers, nor the 2 crossovers that come with the set. My biggest concern was replacing 2.2. OHM speakers with 4 OHM but so far it sounds amazing. I blasted the s*(T out of it on the way back home tonight. I think my blown out speaker situation is finally over.
