Just replaced the stock stereo for a neighbor friend in her 1995 V-6 4Runner. All is well, but still have the "3 beeps" through the speakers every time you turn it off indicating that the factory stereo, of course, is gone.

Since the disable was built into the factory radio, new deck works and plays regardless. But does anyone know where and how to disable the annoying beeping?

No one? Someone must have resolved this in replacing the stock deck?

First, you don't list what brand and model the (assumed) aftermarket radio is. Second, if it had a disable feature, it would list it in the manual. The 3-beep (Sony had them) chime is not an anti-theft feature, but a reminder to remove the faceplate.

It doesn't come from the speakers, it comes from the deck, if you put you listen closer. My pioneer 8500 does the same thing
