ok guys, heres the deal. i found http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 this on ebay. he is offering a ddx 7015 AND the kva-dv4100 for 600 shipped from romania. ive been emailing him back and forth for the past hr or two and it seems legit. he hasnt had any negative feedback or anything. units are new in box, etc. only thing is he is asking for western union wire transfer. and guarantees 2 day shipping. im obviously worried about getting scammed. so what do you guys think?
i like the eclipse and all, but i just dont like the fact that its not touch screen.. and there is no option for nav, i believe. im just a tad unsatisfied with it. kinda like you, cam.. ;-) changing things all the time :-P
yea.. i especially like the double DIN ones. im really liking these kenwood DDX's.. only prob is the cheapest one(7015) only has 2V preouts.. not TOO bad considering i dont think my amps have a super high input level. any experience with these ddx units cam?
so it seems like theres not too much diff between the diff model levels of the DDX. major differences are 2V compared to 5V preouts, optional center channel, and digital xover(which i wouldnt mind having) but i dont think its worth the extra ~300-400 bucks. ill keep an eye out for those avn's too
do not go through will that deal. i almost did till i email ebay about it and they told me that somebody has hacked the account and tries to get people to send money with out finishing the deal on ebay. Only buy if u win an auction never go through email.
my friend got fucked out of 500 dollars through a scheme like thisone i advise you not to buy!!!!!!
another sign of bulshit auction is this statement: For any questions I can't get in touch with you if you use the "ask seller a question" option, so please e-mail me directly. My eBay contact is currently unavailable because i've reached the e-mail storage limit and i woulden't be able to answer any of your e-mails limit.Thank you in advance for your understanding!!!

I second that.
It's not too hard to delete messages on eBay.
Personally, I'd stick away from the Kenwood.... Does the Pioneer AVIC-D1 have touchscreen?? You may wanna look into those as well...
yea, i know kenwood isnt the best, and it wouldnt exactly fit the scheme of my setup(eclipse HU, eclipse amp, xtant sub amp, diamond comps) but this thing is just drawing itself to me. i reaaallly love the double DIN and just the way it looks! i had a pioneer dehp5500mp before the eclipse dvd unit and i loved it, but i kinda wanna steer away from the avic's.. maybe cuz i want a change in design that im used to looking at? takeabao, is it really that bad?

Not sure why you want to steer away from an established product simply because of looks -- hell, you yourself, said you loved your older Pioneer...
I *think* the AVIC line-up is packed with 24-bit Burr Brown DACs although I'm not sure...
Either way, I'd take a Pioneer/Eclipse over a Kenwood ANY DAY -- for quality and SQ reasons.
