The MEX-R5 is a DVD player, is that what you were looking for?

If you're looking for a CD player, I'd rec. the Pioneer dehp860mp/960mp. Second choice would be an Eclipse 8053/8443/8454,etc (The top two models '03 models and up), after those, Alpine units '04 and earlier 9833,9835, 9813, 7995, they have quite a few headunits to chose from.

All of the above have 3 way crossovers for wiring active. If you don't need a 3 way crossover and prefer wiring components up using the passive crossovers supplied with the speakers, then I'd rec the Pioneer 670mp, and 770mp. Also if you can find them cheap enough Clarion makes good quality cd players, but they lack alot of the tuning capabilities of the Pioneer 860MP which can be had new for around 300-320.

If you don't mind buying used there usually quite a few Eclipse upper end models available. Here's an 8443 for 225.00 shipped OBO
