the only amp i got is the jl 1000/1 and its hard to sell it haha so would it be massive overkill to run that amp to a 12idq in a ported box in the trunk of my bmw???? let me know! THANKS YALL
No it will be fine xpecially that you are doing it ported. I ran a couple of them with a modded d2 Shredder and the KNOCKED. Just dont turn the amp too high, I know those JL amps are tricky to tune but once you do it they are awsome.
I would say it's way too much power. Get yourself another sub. Also keep in mind when you have a sub in a ported enclosure you actually need less power than sealed.
You can hook up 4 IDQ's to that amp and you'll get them to full excursion, especially ported.
I would use two 15" IDQ's in a sealed enclosure. That would be a very well balanced SQL system.
i would do 550 the thing is perfect it comes wit original packaging and there are not even any scrratches where u mount the dam thing people are cheap haha
by the way i got tha idq practically brand new from car domain for 104 bucks ahhaa they had an open box on it and they said it was just a simple return so i got it what a deal!
i just wanna have one good SQ sub i have past that stage where loudest is best for me i used to be a thug about car audio i had 3 12s and stuff now im done i want simple nice stuff so i will buy a new amp but what amp woudl be good to run one IDQ DUAL 2 ohm something cheap a nice cheap amp but good!
imma go with 2 15inch idq's in my car, im still looking around for amps for them. i might go with diamond audio amps. let me know how that sub sounds
What ever happened to the 13W7s?? (powered by the PAIR of 1000/1's)
