Is there a "gizmo" that will allow me to change from bridged to 4 channel easily?

Here is my dilemna . . . I will be replacing my Polk Momo 690 front speakers with Diamond Hex 600s . . . I would like to bridge my Polk C400.4 to give maximum power to the diamond. They can handle 150 watts RMS. However, when I have people in the back seat I would like to be able to have the rear speakers on.

I have all the speaker wire running to the back of my truck to my c400.4 amp. I do not want to run more speaker wire from the head unit to power the rears.

I also do not want to run speakers from the crossovers that have a RF position for rear fill. I am wondering if there is a device that could help me with this issue.

Anyone?

Thanks for your help!

In short, no.

If you're talking about changing your speaker configuration to allow your amp to run in stereo mode (as opposed to bridged), there's no magical switch you can flip that would allow you to do that. You'd have to actually re-wire.

You could run the front speakers bridged as you would like, and then put the rear speakers on a switch. Get some kind of resistor in series with each rear speaker so that the speaker level is somewhat matched with the fronts. I did something like that a few years ago, I just used a home audio plate mount swtich and mounted it in the center console of my vehicle.

Either that, or pick up another smaller amplifier just to run the rear speakers. That way you would have more adjustability. You could just put a switch on the turn on lead going to it.

Use the headunit's amp for the rear speakers.

being lazy

Did not want to run new wires . . . currently all my wires run to the back of the truck to the amp. Thought about using the factory wires with the harness from tacotunes . . .

Think those stock wires will do alright?
