Sealed enclosure to bandpass conversion

I have a sealed dual 12" sub box with 2 12" audiobahn subs. I want it to be louder and i'd be ok with sacrificing quick hitting subs for loud subs. Can i put holes in my sealed enclosure to convert it to bandpass??

You mean ported?

You can cut a hole then get a tube port. I'm not sure what size box or tube you should use though.

Just ditch the box/subs. Since I'm the resident dick in this section of the forums, I'm just going to go ahead and say it: your stuff is pretty much garbage. Go ahead and cut a hole in your sealed enclosure. It'll probably be louder than what you have now, but it'll sound worse than it already does.

Would you possibly be interested in ditching the Audiobahn and upgrade to something A LOT better (keeping in mind that you'd probably spend about the same)??

I think he know's he doesn't have the best subs in the world.

Remember this thread Audiobahn A800t amp

But for now he's trying to get some loudness out of what he has until he can upgrade.

You can go down to home depot and get some 3" PVC tubing and try it out. Might be fun

But yeah, start saving up for some subs.

What kind of box do you have? Maybe i can find some uber inexspensive subs to throw in there that will sound better.

I dont know the specifics about the box all i know is that its a sealed dual 12" box and its made out of mdf. Its also slanted back. Cam2xrunner knows exactly what my situation is. Im still saving up but for now im tryin to work with what i got. How much do u guys think i could resell my subs and box for?I would be selling it on ebay.

Nobody's going to buy it on eBay. Sell local to some high school punk attracted to bling and Audiobahn's overrated specs.

You'd be surprised at how well Audiobahn sells on eBay. Why do you think there is so much of it on ebay?

Most of the people out there are oblivious to what is good and what isn't. Also most people who don't know what's good, have heard of Audiobahn before and since they heard about it, and it's shiny, with flames, they buy it up.

I'd list it and see what you can do. If you can't get anyone to buy it on ebay or locally, have some fun with a wall socket.
