Ok, so ive decided to finish up my cars stereo(for now) by going with a decent pair of 6x9s to replace the stockers. Budget is 120ish, can go up some. I believe that 2 ways should be ok by me already having the subs in the back.
So far, im looking at the Infinity refrence 2 and 3 ways. Polk db590 s that delay_ftb had. Pioneer Rev series that cam used to talk up.
As usual im open to any sorts of options. Is there any benefit to saying running around coaxial set in the back or something. I'm not going to be amping them, so i think that components are out of the question.
Thanks

Personally i wouldnt put speakers in the rear deck. Rear stage is just imaging. Id try to see if u can make the hole size bigger in the front. Ud be better off with front speaks. then rear but then again its up to you. Just curious what size do u have up front?

Well u could do alot better then doing the rear stage with the money u were gonna use for it like sound deadning, big 3 upgrade etc. unless u have already done that lol.
6x9's aren't a good size, the shape isn't very strong. Thats y i don't deal with em. All i can say is try w/e u like out and whichever ones u like get. Shouldn't be too hrd since you said you weren't gonna use components.
I could go with components or another size, the problem is that I need something efficent with little power, around 20watts rms. So i dont want to spend 200 bucks on something that wont sound very good with that little power.

you would say revs>cdts? http://www.thezeb.com/p-Pioneer-REV-...91R-110543.htm
the pionners can take lots more power, where as the cdts seem to only want 80wrms. if i were to decide to amp them in the future(wont have a deck). wouldnt it be nice to have the cdts?
price difference is about, 30 bucks, after adapter plates.
hmmm

Honestly, I wouldn't spend any money on rear speakers. Put that into a better sub. Or put it into a nicer set of components up front, move those you have to the rear, and buy a second amp and run the front components active using both amps.
i suppose your right. Just feel that my sound muddies out in the back @ high vols which sucks. I was going to finish up my sound for now and then put some money into the handling.
I wouldnt want to move my type rs to the back and run them off HU power, i had them like that for awhile and it sucked. If i wanted to get new fronts i had to get that and another amp. So like 300+.
If i decided to run active off my current setup, id have to buy an external xover because the one on my comp amp is only 3 settings (fr, hp, lp).
So to sum up, im looking for something cheap to fix the problems coming from the rear. i dont really want to throw major money in the rest of the car right now because im pretty happy with it.

I got my speakers off of ebay for a steal $30. My front stage 125W RMS, i just added these for the passangers to have something. But i found that when i tune my HU so that my front speakers sound perfect to my standards, my rears don't sound as good as they could, just a heads up.
