153.7 db's with 2 12's

so i finally put my truck on the db meter after giving my subs some time to break in
at first it was a stretch for them to hit 151.

so i added a waves piece to boost the signal some
for those of you who dont know what im talking about, waves makes all kinds of audio processing items....basically it adds harmonics into existing bass notes....

so the next run through with the waves piece i hit 153.7

and then the most awesome thing happened....my sub amp fried


one of the two things in my truck that isnt under warranty.....
i'm sending it back to diamond...hopefully it will be something small....i cant afford an expensive repair right now...sonofa.....

I have a few questions.

1) All of waves stuff looks like it is for computers, what did you buy for your car?
2) Would recommend them even though after putting in their product you killed your amp?
3) What is "Pro-mode" on your Eclipse HU?

they make a piece thats designed for your car...i dont see it on the website....ill try to find out what model it is....

i dont know if it killed my amp....i think my amp was jacked to begin with...it was bad about overheating


pro-mode basically lets you fine tune things like time alignment....and gives you a few extra EQ bands than regular mode...

Nice score, but damn that sux about the amp. I have a guy that fixes car audio stuffs for me, he can fix your amp and make it better than new. Lemme know if you want to have him check it out.
