The 7th gen is not an easy car to swap . The best scenario would be a 3sgte with a Camry V6 fwd5 spd"rare" tranny that I saw in a magazine once. They had to build a custom intake manifold and engine mounts. I think it all depends on what you want! That guy is right once you swap you cant stop. It can be a real pain in the ass. You might end up with something original though.

My advice pick something else for the money that comes factory fast and then spend your money on it. Most factory turbo set ups are on avg at least a second faster in the q/t over the N/A brother. So start there and then build your monster

This from a guy who did the swap and a drivetrain conversionon a 5th gen in my defense I had owned the car for 7 yrs before I swapped.
On My second go round with a MKIII supra I put an intake blow off and 3" exhaust and had stock boost and ran a 14.3 @ 95 mph. Because I was still making the Alltrac I dont have a time but I assume a low 14 as well until I ditch the CT26. My celica cost me alot more.
If i have to ever replace a car these will be my choices. Its all about how much dough you got! MkIII or MKIV Supra maybe an Alltrac or MR2
