SW Ohio. Several thousand dollars worth of tools and wheels were stolen from my barn about 2 weeks ago. Dewalt power tools and Klein hand tools. They also stole 4 of my stock 17" Sport Tacoma wheels w/ Bridgestone tires. Two of the wheels had deep scratches on a couple of the spokes.
I'd love to catch the thief, but I'll be OK if the insurance company would get me a check soon. They acted like it would all be covered. Lets hope so. I NEEEED my tools.
Yeah, I've heard about lots of stolen stuff showing up at that flea market near Florence, KY
I got my insurance check today. They gave me a pretty fair amount. It will easily cover my loss. I'd like to find an online tool store that would give me a good deal if I bought a bunch of stuff from them.
Keep an eye out on ebay for tools and such also.......it's an easy place for thieves to sell stolen merchandise.

I've been keeping an eye out. I guess if the tools turn up then they would belong to the insurance company right? Since they've already sent me a check to replace the tools.
Once the insurance company pays you, the stolen item(s) are then theirs. Had a friend who had his car stolen, they wrote him a check, he found his car... and had to buy it back!
They just broke into my barn for the 3rd time! I've done everything except install a security system on my barn, which I don't want to do. I'd rather catch these bastards in the act. So I'm camping out in my barn loft tonight. I have a feeling they will come back for a few big dollar items. The temp is in the 30s tonight so I have a sleeping bag and an electric blanket set up. I also have my cell phone and of course my Glock. Wish me luck.

Well, they never showed up. I waited in the loft from 11pm to 10am. I did get the barn doors more secure. I hope they don't try to rip the doors off though. That'll be the only way they could get in.
