My son passed away 5 years ago and I've had his car stored away for his sister. It's all he owned and it was his pride and joy. Today someone has stolen our link to him and our most prized possesion!
It is a black, inside and out, 1980 Z28, stock. It has some denting of one of the doors from a light hit in a parking lot. No sunroof.
There is a reward for anything that will lead to a succesful recovery.
Please call the St. Cloud, Minnesota police dept at 320-251-1200
i am so sorry to hear that, honestlly if i lived anywhere neer you guys i would go out now and look for it i am so sorry i know how it is to have someone close in your fam pass away and have people take there belongings i was 12 my older sister was 15 almost 16 and she passed away from cancer, and i went to school every day that yeah with her favorite hoodie and someone stole it i cryed about that everyday for atleast 8 months. so i know how it feels and i will post some stuff on other sites, i will do all i can, witch isnet much but i will try.
Thank-you so much for your kind messages. We haven't heard anything, yet. I still cry, too, thinking that I"ll never see his favorite possession again. It was so HIM. I will keep checking with the police so they don't forget about it. Thank-you for the advice.
Marilyn
There hasn't been a clue, yet. I"m afraid the longer it takes, the less likely we'll ever see it, again.
Thanks for keeping a look out for it. It may be sitting somewhere while the guy waits for the case to cool off. Then it may come out in the open. Someone will see it, but will they know what they're seeing?
I have my sons things packed away. There may be a picture, I don't know. We've gone through his things once, and it was very hard. I can't do it again for a while. The car is stock Z28, black inside and out with a smashed passenger door. I don't know how to put pictures in this message or I'd find one on the internet and post it here.
I will take calls, too. My # is 320-237-4822, not before 10 am. There is a reward.
Hello Marilyn,
You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of your son. I am not too familiar with the body styles of the Camaro. I will put some pics up of a Z28 and let me know if it's a similar body type. I'm not sure what year it changed body styles. In the background of the second pic if I'm not mistaken was the body change of the newer models, like I said I'm not too familiar with the comaro to be 100% sure.
i'm a huge F-body fan so yeah send me pics of that car and maybe the vin# and i maybe able to help you out there is one around here that matches the discrption perfectly except a half assed blue rattle can paint job

Thank-you. I appreciate it. There is still no news.
I see that a couple of posts from right after I first wrote have disappeared.
Can anyone explain that?
I'm so grateful for the supportive posts. You guys are great!
Marilyn, did you see the post two above yours? He said he knows where the car is!
Also, coming from a huge F-body man, the 1980 that you are looking for is the same from 79-81. That particular body style was the second generation, 70-81, but they changed the appearance slightly. 79-81 got different rear tails (longer) for one.
No, no word. I emailed gator227 who said he was sure he saw it. No reply. I called the police in the city he put down as where he was from so they could watch for it. But I found another site where he said he was from somewhere 2,000 miles in another direction. I'm not sure what to think.
A policeman here just finally contacted my daughter in September to ask questions! The guy who called her said he was in charge of stolen cars and didn't even know about it until now. Believable? Not sure.
There's just so much that's fishy about my son's death and the loss of his car.
I appreciate all the comments. There are some wonderful people on this forum!
I have to include this cat. It's just so darn cute! And my boy left two cats behind who also dearly loved him!
