Well, that is crappy. I'm assuming you had no alarm or glass breakage sensor. You may find it cheaper to replace all locks rather than try to fix one or two locks but the expert looking at it can be a better judge. Between the broken part on the door, the glass, the locks being broken, the cost will very likely exceed your deductible, so it is something you need to talk to your agent about. Paying a $500 deductible initially is tough, but to put it in perspective, by being self insured to the $500 level, you have lowered your insurance premium with your company by xx dollars a year, for how many years? or how many in the future? That's just how it all works, and the insurance company is hoping that your premiums will exceed your losses as well. It just hurts when you have to pay out a lump sum. The moral is if you really don't have the cash for the deductible, then you should consider lowering your deductible and paying a higher premium. In other words, buying the protection that you don't want to provide yourself. Insurance can be a pain.
