Internal max dimensions of xD double-DIN radio hole?

Hi.

I need to know the maximum internal dimensions of my Scion xD's radio bay, as I am trying to determine if I will be able to fit something that is 180mmx100mmx200mm in there.

According to Google calculator, those dims come out to: 7.08661417 x 3.93700787 x 7.87401575 in inches, to help anybody who might know one over the other.

If the stock hole will not accommodate something of this depth, I also need to know if it is possible to cut from the rear whatever is blocking it, to allow for this extra depth, so that I don't have to put my carputer in the back of the car.

usually what's behind the radio is the heater core or hvac vents or the wiring. I wouldn't mess with any of those. If you must put a computer, you're better off putting it under a seat.

Are you putting one of those Shuttle cases? Trunk would be a good place. You can wire a power button to the front. All you have to to is to tap into the motherboard jumpers and run the wires to the dash where you can power the unit on or off.
