Installing HID's

I have ordered and recieved new HID replacement lamps and ballasts for my xD. Has any one of you out there had any experience replacing them ? I'd like any information/pictures if you have some, and mostly, information on how to remove the factory bulbs from the headlight assembly. I have looked in there and there seems to be some rubber thingie on the backside of where the bulb ought to be, and I'm not sure how that comes off. Also, I hear tell of some "L" clip that needs to come off...... I just don"t wanna bust nuttin' so any help will be appreciated.

That little rubber boot thingie is there to keep dust and other such things out of the backside of the lamp. you can just give that a pull and it will come off but make sure that you disconnect the electrical connector first.

Once you remove that rubber boot, you'll see the clipt that you've heard of. You'll see how it has to be removed and it's really quite simple. It's so easy that I can't really explain how to do it without making it sound real tough.

Once you figure out where you want to mount your balast and where you're going to route your wires, it goes pretty fast.

I've got 5000 k's on my 2G xB and I love them.....
