the hose that everyone is talking about regarding the high/fast idle due to clogging of the coolant/water bypass is right under the hood, near your air cleaner box. open the hood, locate the air filter box. it is connected to the MAF sensor, which is then connected to the intake tube. Look at the intake tube, there is ONE aluminum pipe that goes into it. Close to the top, where the AL pipe connects to the intake tube, is a rubber hose that makes a "T" to the AL pipe. That is the rubber hose you want to remove and check if there is something clogging it up in there.

All these pipe/tubes are meant to distribute the engine heat to the throttle body and EGR to bring them up to operating temperature quicker. This is especially important during cold temperatures, hence the problem is more noticeable when it is cold.
