I was using 5 gravel bags wrapped in plastic so no sand or gravel would leak into the bed. The took very little room, and I paced them directly behind the wheelwells near the tailgate on both sides. But now I'm just using a large pop up tent that I use for tradeshows anyways, and it takes care of the problem. Around town and small trips the truck drives fine with no load at all. Just some stretches of freeway with the "washboard" texture which is found all over Southern California is what was giving the truck a rough ride, but by doing what I described above, the ride is great. But to be honest I think you are going to have this problem with most trucks. On the washboard freeways it comes down more t the wheelbase size and having a light rearend, I doing think this is just a Toyota thing. I drove the new Chevy, Ford, and Dodge, and I would still take mine over all of them. This is a small problem, and it is manageable. One solution is to get the Rancho 9000's when they become avaiable for the Tundra. Which should be soon. Hope this helps!
