I traded in my 2006 double cab SR5 4x5 trd for a 2007 i test drove a 2007 double cab. I thought this is what i wanted while they were doing the trade numbers i was looking over the truck and realized the rear window didn't roll down. I asked the salesman about it and found out the option is only availble on the crewmax. So i look at the crewmax and wasnt sure about the bed. After thinking about it the bed was only 6" shorter and i really wanted the retractable window, so i got the crewmax. Also the truck i picked was the only SR5 4x4 with a sunroof!

I deliberated between the doublecab & crewmax. I chose the crewmax because of the significantly larger backseat area. It was important that my family doesn't outgrow the truck & my 2001 Tundra accesscab was getting too small for my ever-growing 9 year old, especially when we crammed a carseat in it for the baby. We are very pleased with the crewmax & have no regrets at all.

...Went with the DC

I bought a DC over the CM because I (as many others have said) wanted the extra bed room. I sat in the backseat of the DC and felt it was big enough and I valued more cargo room over more seating room. Previously I had a '06 Tacoma, so this truck was a definite step up in size, but it still felt lke the "same family" of vehicles.

I'd suggest (if you have a family) going by the dealership and loading them all in the truck and going for a testdrive. Try to keep in mind how you normally use your truck, and what you plan to use it for in the future. If you don't use your bed much, but usually tow loads, the CM may be the truck for you. I use my bed from time to time, and I wanted to be able to tow a trailer, but I have my wife and inlaws in the truck from time to time, so I tried to have the best of both worlds. I got it.
