Crewmax vs. Doublecab?

What made you pick one over the other? Did it just come down to wanting more bed room vs. more cab room or vice versa?

I went w/ the DC cause of the bigger bed, lower cost, availability, and in my opinion...I just like the looks of the DC better. Not saying the Max's are ugly ( Their great!) just liked the DC better.

for me it was bed size, payload, and towing. also the CM gets worse gas milage..

and i also wanted to stick with the same style i was replacing which was an 2005 F-150 Supercab with a 6.5FT bed.

and i wanted to stick with value

my 2005 F-150 MSRP was 30k

my 2007 Tundra MSRP was 30k

both trucks we're equally equiped with the biggest engine options most towing options and same trim level... and yet i got so much more in the Tundra..

i love this truck.

i really like the look of the DC, i like the size of the DC bed, and feel the DC cab provides ample room for my needs, but i really like the sunroof and full roll down rear window combination that is only available on the CrewMax, does anyone think these options might make there way to the DC?

I'd take a cm over a dc since the back seat area is smaller than the old dc was.

For me, I liked the looks of the DC better and I'm single guy so I don't really need room for a family. Just enough to haul around my friends and they will be fine.Really the DC has plenty of room, I'm 6ft 200 pounds and I fit in just fine,so must ppl will be ok. ANd it was little cheaper. But if you have a family,or just want some more room get the CM. Test drive both and see which one you like better?

Have fun you can't go wrong with any choice when you go with Toyota!

USA

I just bought a Crew Cab Sat. and LOVE it. The reason I went with the Crew instead of the double is because of the room inside and I wanted to keep my roll down window in the back. We took a trip down to Texas in my 06 DC and it was comfy but man to be able to lay the back seat back like my Crew Cab would have been great. I also tow a 30 foot camper and I towed it with the Crew Cab yesterday and it was night and day from the 06 DC. This truck is AWESOME!!!

Like most I went dc for the bed and didn't need the extra room of the cm. I found the back seat room in the dc plenty big. Too bad mine wont be built until the 24th now. Im expecting it to arrive around mid september.
