Trying to decide whether I want them on or off. I really like the look of the truck without them, it looks taller and you see the meaty tires more. But I don't know how much grief I will have if I take them off. A lot of trucks I have seen don't have them.
For fun, I removed the flaps from one side and took a few pics (I've since put them back on of course). Would be interested in your opinions.
Thanks!

I like them on and wouldn't want to chance the rocks coming up and chipping the paint. This is my opinion though. CONGRATS on the truck, I just bought a Cew Cab Sat and love it.
Thanks for you replies everyone. I've decided to keep them on as most of you are recommending. Even though I like the look of the truck without them, they do offer a lot of protection for the rockers.

my crew max texas edition did not come with them but i'm adding them. they give the truck a more command-the-road look. any idea what they cost anyone?
I also noticed that on my Tundra, Toyota did not apply the "orange peel" rock guard paint behind the rear wheels. Some seem to have it there and others do not. My truck came with flaps from the factory.

Like everyone else, "on". This is probably the 1st truck I like with them 'on' since they're small, not goofy looking, flimsy long ones like other trucks.
See, I said off with the Tacoma, but on with the Tundra. The Tundra's are short enough where they can complete the look of the truck and not be an eyesoar. I won't miss the rock chips I had on my quarter panel on the Tacoma, either, granted it was off road 90% more than this thing will be.
