remote start...

ok so my buddy just got a brand new texas edition '07 tundra! very nice looking truck i might add. he's got me thinking about trading in my tacoma.

but my question is...

he had the factory remote start installed by the dealer. no whenever he starts the truck the remote start kicks off when he unlocks the truck. maybe its me but i was under the impression that it should stay on. they told him it was a safety feature but i'm wondering is there a way to bypass or everride that feature???

Which system did he have installed? I see your in Texas which would put you in the gulf states region. Your options are usually different there then most of the US. Makes some answers more difficult then others.
