Me and the wife's new ride...(No56kers)

..well soon to be. 07 CrewMax 5.7. Pretty damn nice and a huge step up over the 1st gen Tundra. That 5.7 has balls...until you drive one you can't imagine that much power coming from a Japanese built engine! It's slate metallic and grey interior, which I've been finding difficult to find. TONS of storage with small hidden cubbies, even the beverage holder removes to make more room by the shifter. Nice seating position (sitting like in a truck) and has lumbar, which is nice. If all goes well the Tundra will be sitting in the garage tomorrow night (like in the photos)

Nice truck... I don't see the Taco in that picture... You getting rid of it for sure?

My wife wants one of those! Or she did anyway. lol She wanted it, but then decided it might be a little too big for her to drive.

Im guessing its attached to the hood.

You going to take that big bastard to the Badlands sometime? Some of us from work are going there the second or third weekend in July.

the gas mileage are actually pretty good for the 5.7 liter!!! they get almost the same as our tacoma and got wayyyyyy more balls than our tacomas haha.

The truck was at the dealership. The people here were nice enough to let a 23 year old who just got a ticket to take it out for a spin by myself (all because of the wedding ring...) No I didn't abuse it. Depending on what the wifey and I talk about tonight, I might trade in the truck (really really don't want to). Depending on what they offer me for the truck, I might take a lot of the crap I pu on there (cruise, hitch, fogs, D-rings, bedmat, skid) off and sell them outright. We'll see though. I'll post a different thread if that's what happens.

Amp2001, we'll see if it can make it through the Dunes first, then I'll try Badlands! I planned on getting a 3" lift off the bat to compensate for the low front end clearance. It has Dueler's (HT's, though) as stock, so I might keep those tires until I or the wife burn them off

What's even funnier about the whole deal is that the wifey wanted a Reg cab 5.7 and I talked her into a CrewMax by saying "I don't want to have to trade in another vehicle, how about we get the CM so we have room for kids in the future." Damn I'm good

Would love to have one but dont think it would fit in my garage unless I got a reg cab and I like my DC tacoma. Wish the grill didnt come up with the hood though. Beautiful truck other than that.

Hopefully you get a good one and not one of the ones with those nasty broken camshaft problems. Nice looking truck either way.
