Talking Toyota Virgin....

Hey all, just bought a new Toy. Literally. 2007 Tundra DC, 4.7L TRD, full console. So far am liking it quite well, bought it over the Sierra crew. I've put 25 miles on it tonight, and so far the only concern I have is, why doesn't the DTE computer reset when gas is added. I only put 4 gallons in, the dealer is going to detail and fill it up in the morning. It is reading almost 0 DTE, and the guage is almost 1/4 tank. I don't have the manual yet.

Any suggestions??

Thanks and glad to be in the Cool Kids club!

Did you try turning the truck off and then back on to see if it resets. Sometimes, it takes mine a few min before it ever resets.

Because the gas gauge is off slighty, since its at 1/4 tank, it will probably read 0 until it is filled all the way. Just some Toyota quirkiness I guess. It should automatically reset when you turn off the truck during fueling and then restart.

Thumbs up

The dealer filled it up today for me, and it seems that you have to put more gas in for it to reset. The book says it resats on a full tank. Put 40 miles on today, like it more every time I slide behind that telescoping wheel. I also waxed her up today. Toyota puts a great paint job on their vehicles compared to domestics. So shiny and smooth and reflective.
