07 Tundra Alarm Question

I just bought a 07 Tundra and just love it. My question is...Before delivering the truck the salesman said they had to remove the security alarm as I did not want one and the truck came equipped with an alarm. Is the alarm removal just a software thing or did a physical part have to come out?
I feel that I got a smoking good deal. I went thru the internet and got a double cab 5.7, MSRP was $31,849, Invoice 29 and change and I got it for $27,882 with the 60 month 0 interest.
