I was a chevy guy from day one. The cards were stacked against me from the beginning. Hispanic, 4th generation plumber, and an old school codger by the time I was 10 years old.
In 46 years I have owned 3 chevy trucks each well over 100K, ( one the stepson has just passed 450K, same engine and tranny, V6 manual) one Ford f-150 that I will not talk about for my shame. After owning all this and in the market for a new truck, for some reason I was curious over a Toyota. I guess Froyd might say I was looking for a new girl? I sure found one.
It took a lot for me not to worship to Detroit ( you know, the birthplace of the Chevy) one year, So I took the plunge and tried on a Tundra for size. WOW, I've had the truck for 3 years now and the honeymoon is still on. This thing is TIGHT, hubba, hubba! Runs like a bat out of hell and don't talk back. I love my Tundra! No problems at all after 30K miles, still smells like new. Way to go Toyota.
