Good stuff, but just remember guys a maximum towing capacity is there for a reason. Max tow capacity does not mean that it is the maximum a truck can pull, but instead has to do with the overall truck. The brakes, steering, and suspension could very possibley fail and endangering yourself and everyone around you.

I have a wife who drives quite often with my young kid, please be careful out there.

BTW if you are going to encounter steep inclines while towing this is just a suggestion to watch out on the trailer weight when purchasing. In other words, don't max out your towing capacity, it could cause problems in mountainous areas.....
I agree, in the mountains you need to watch your speed, as my wife reminds me. I have gone 80mph going down a grade if I could see a 6% grade coming up. However to achieve this speed I needed to give the Tundra gas. Believe it or not, but this is a very well thought out truck. The Tudra has the only automatic that will actually hold you back, going down a steep grade. I have coasted down 4 and 5% grades at 65mph with out ever touching the brakes. Weight is an issue as always, but at 8000lbs I am more comfortable with this truck than any other I have ever had. That includes all of the big 3. Keep on truckin

Nice trailer/truck combo! What kind of hitch set up do you use?

I have a short bed and therefore use a super glide hitch made by Pullrite. It moves automaticlally back as you turn so as not to hit the cab. I had it for about 2 years and works like a charm. Only unique thing is the hitch on your trailer has to be modified in order to use the hitch. No big deal. Keeps anyone else from hooking up to your rig.

I use a 12k hitch which is plenty big for a 1/2 ton.

The web site is www.pullrite.com/superglide.htm---check it out
