Toyota Tundra Embarrasses Dodge Ram

I think this says it all. Just watch. Not for the faint of heart if you are a Ram fan.

The only thing it says is, the Toyota had better Tires on it...nothing more.

must be a RAM fan

Because even in the face of overwhelming evidence you're still in denial. You may like what you like. I like Toyotas and someone else probably favors Ford or Chevy. Its all personal preference.

Just for laughs though: There is a Ram owner here where I work that I showed this to and he got offended and said come on, let's hook em up right now. I bet that Ram didn't have a Hemi. That guy doesn't know how to drive. Any excuse he could come up with. I said to him why would I want to abuse a $30K + truck for some adolescent actions.

Re-post....there is another vid with the Tundra pulling a Silverado with the same result. It really doesn't mean much. The Tundra probabley has better tires, better driver, weight in the bed, maybe in 4WD.....I just hope I don't buy a truck that was abused like that.

I have a Crewmax and I love it but truth be told, in a pulling match like that the first guy to smoke the tires is done. I have seen passenger cars outpull trucks in similar demonstrations. It doesn't matter how much torque or power you have if you aren't connected to the road...W

Yes it is.
When I get the truck a little more broken it will be fun to feed them a bit of crow at the lights too...W

I bet if that Dodge was a diesel it would pulled the Tundra! But as everyone here has mentioned, it all depends on the tires...

As mentioned already, tires play an important role here, along with rear gearing and so forth.
However, that being said, the latest Tundra is the best ever from Toyota. With Chevy and Toyota, it is indeed a move forward in the latest evolution as to trucks.

I do own a 03 Hemi 2500 HD Ram and still waiting for the 09 Ram before deciding to purchase another truck. Tuff choices since the competition has heated up.

Australia Raising the bar

All the ford, chevy, dodge, nissan fans should be thankful Toyota entered the fray, because they have raised the bar which means the competition will have to step up to the plate or leave the race.

So did Dodge in 94 [design]....then came Ford...then Toyota and Chevy. It just wasn't Toyota that made the competiton heat up but it is a constant battle who is better. Ford SVT versus Chevy SS versus Dodge SRT is a good point. In this case, owners will win inthe end.

Leave the race? LOL...perhaps a change in the way a truck looks along with performance.

Also, did you ever see a 2500 HD Ram carry 4200lbs in the bed? That was not a trailer load but a bed load....lol

And you're a bit delusional.
Like I said and others seem to agree...it's in the tires.

That is a bias video. Once any truck or car starts to burn out. a honda could pull it. (No offense to Honda)

Even if they have the same tires.

When we were younger we would do burn out doughnuts in an empty parking lot. Once the tires were spinning you could push the car in a circle with 2 fingers.

The vid only proves the driver of the RAM doesn't know how to pull.

Look folks, The facts have been stated. Tires matter and so does the burnout factor. I'm happy to see that there is intelligent life out there after all. But as I stated before it's fun to poke at each other in the ribs, it's always sure to get a little confrontation going between fans. Drive what you like...we're all in this together.

100% true! He could have been hooked up to a 9,000lb diesel dually in 4wd, and if the dually did the same thing that numnuts in the dodge did, he'd get pulled backwards by a freakin mountain bike!

100% driver skill and technique.
