Rebates to continue into August..?

Anybody here work for Toyota or in the "know" as to whether or not the current factory rebates will continue into August? I want a Tundra, but they color/combo that I want is not available on the ground, so I may have to wait a few weeks. I don't want to miss out on lots of cash back though for my preferred color.

Chances are very slim that the rebates will go down on the Tundra over the next few months. Their sales goals are too high and the full-size truck market demands rebates. My guess is that the current rebates will continue through the model-year closeout (around Oct/Nov timeframe).

They always put an end date to a rebate program to get the "better buy now" idea to actually work. The fact is that they will continue to increase incentives on the 2007 models until they are gone. In addition to rebates and special financing, the dealers get extra money off of invoice as vehicles "age" on the lots in summer and even more after model year changover.

I got about $7000 of a 2005 at the end of Aug, 2005. The rebate was $2500. There is no way the dealer takes a "loss" by selling substantially under invoice. The factory kicks in the difference.

I also came close to buying this month and my dealer assured me "practically guaranteed" that the 0% will continue through August. I had the same problem, dealer couldn't locate one with everything I wanted . That's my 2 cents.

Hopefully they dont push rebates too much like chev did a few years ago with the blazer. Up here they must have dropped them by $10000. It completly destroyed resale value. A buddy of mine was pissed when he went to sell his at 6 years old hoping to get around 17000 for it then found out the new ones were dropped to 18000. He had to end up taking 12500 for it while I sold my same year 4runner for 18000 2 months later. He didnt believe me about resale of domestics until this happened. Since we both paid around 23000 a few years before, he decided to go with Toyota from then on. That and the crazy problems he had with the blazer.

I think I'll still be able to get around $6k off of MSRP on a $42k truck. I'll find out in the next couple of days.

6k after rebate sounds resonable somewhere around 350 above invoice which means 200 profit for the store 150 pre delivery inspection. all depends who is working the tower when you go by your dealership

What kind of incentives is the factory giving to the dealers these days?

Hard to believe they would stop incentives with the '08 pushing them out the door in the fall.

08 tundras will be here late as they arrived late. 08 corolla already has a rebate and will probably have the same 1.9 financing soon as its the same car from last year and if they really bring the new design next year then they gotta get rid of the 08's for the moment most of the focus is getting rid of 07 highlanders and camrys.
