SR5 JBL BlueTooth details

Quick question for any of you guys that have an SR5 w/bluetooth installed. When you receive a call, is there a phone # displayed anywhere? Call info of any kind, and if so, where does it do it at? Also, when you push the "speak" button, does the vehicle talk back? My last car was an Acura TSX, and when you pushed that button a female voice would ask "what number do you wish to call?", at which point I would say a name or number. Also, when the phone would ring, she would say "you have an incoming call". Does the Tundra do that, or does it just ring? I have a non-nav 5.7L DC SR5 on order and was just wondering. Thanks!

I've had my Tundra for a couple of days now so I can only answer a couple of these questions. Yes, a female voice talks to you, and you need to 1st set up your phone. Once you "pair" your phone with the bluetooth, the rest is easy. The female voice does ask you a bunch of things that you can do, but what I find the easiest is to just dial my phone manually (the handset) and it automatically connects to the truck's system. The radio/CD will be replaced by the ringing of the phone call you're making. I've only received a couple of calls and I heard ringing, there was nothing that told me "you have an incoming call". I didn't see the # on the radio dash either. If I want to know who is calling I guess I'll look at the handset.

It depends on your phone I think

At times mine shows a Name and such, but I do have it loaded into the Nav/Phone book so I don't see why I wouldn't. The thing that drives me nuts is everytime I recieve a text notice on my phone, of course the radio goes off for a second as well.

Here's the link to see how compatable your phone is with the blue tooth system in the JBL Nav:

Hope this helps,
