07 Tundra issues- need advice

I'm wondering if I can get some advice from you all. I bought a 2007 Tundra CrewMax Limited a month ago. It has the TRD and is 4x4. Beautiful truck and the greatest vehicle I've ever owned. And I would have never been able to afford it if I wasn't able to get the 0% financing. When we were getting ready to drive it off the lot, I noticed the driver's side map light didn't come on. I showed the sales guy and he said the light was probably burnt out so he drove it back to the service garage to get a new one put in. A few minutes later he drove back and said the lightbulb just fell out so they had to order a new fixture. No problem, they'd just swap it out. A week ago, we brought it back and they took it to fix it. Turns out they had to remove the WHOLE ROOF CONSOLE to replace the fixture. Last week, when I got it back, I noticed a 1/8 inch space where the console should be flush with the roof on the drivers front and rear of the console. Also noticed that people can't hear me very well when I'm using the bluetooth system now and the microphone is in that console.

Also, they need to replace the leather on the passenger side seat, we found a 1/4 inch slash on the seat pocket. Also found an indentation on the front bumper. The service guy said somebody must of bumped into me but: A. there is no scuff on it, just a pressure dent and B. I'm a disabled vet with disabled plates. I don't park where anybody can hit me.

They are having somebody from Toyota look at the bumper. They are replacing the leather on the seat. They told me today that the console may never sit right.

My feeling is that I'm going to be paying out of my butt for the vehicle for the next 5 years. I don't want any issues with it unless I did it. If the console is never going to look right, should it be my problem because the light fixture was broken in the first place? I have about 2000 miles on it, 500 from driving back and forth to the dealership.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Joel

Its this simple..

our trucks come standard 3 year 60K mile BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty.

If they can't fix your console, they should give you a new truck.

IMO: I would go straight to the service manager and let him know.
Call TOYOTA customer relations, and if you need be, Dealership GM..

A brand new truck. with body damage, jacked up console and etc etc..

FUDGE THAT.. I would say.. " if you can't fix it, give me a new one "

Go take a look at New Tundra on the lot, and say " that one fits fine"
whats wrong with mine.

IMO it isn't a toyota issue.. its a dealership/stealership grease monkey that
fudged up your car issue..

Remember tokeep records and names of all your contacts and goings on.

Yes, your dealer should have done it right. Contact the dealerships service manager. Be nice, but straight foward with him; if he's a good guy, he'll get the problem fixed. If he's a dick, press harder, and ask for his boss...that'll show results.

Call the 1 800 customer service line and open a case, they SHOULD help you out. I had an issue with my Tacoma and the dealer, they wouldn't budge. I called the customer service line, they called the dealer and the issue was settled.

TOYOTA - 1-800-331-4331 - Customer service
