Missing Front licence plate mount? 2007 DC

Even though Arizona only requires a rear licence plate, its OK to put a vanity type plate, sports team, etc on the front. However, I am looking high and low and DONT see any factory mount for a front plate! Mines a 5.7L,4WD,SR5 standard bed. Interesting, anybody else notice this?

Since you bought your in a state that doesn't require front license plates, the mount was not included by your dealer. You'll have to contact your dealer and request one.

I'm not sure why you'd want to put it on there. They are just plain ugly and ruin the looks of the truck IMHO.

Thanks HMadden, will check it out. A job transfer may require moving to a state that I know uses front and rear plates.

AZ29 I'll PM you a link to an image of the front license plate install instruction sheet.

I would have attached it to this post but there's no "attach" function.

My front plate is just mounted with 2 screws into the plastic on the front bumper. The dealer installed the plate. Is there some special bracket that's supposed to be used?

Nope. Just the following:

Quote:
Use self-tapping screws of
a non-corroding type with the
following size for installation
of the front license plate.
Nominal Length: 16.0 – 24.0 mm
(0.63 – 0.94 in.)
Diameter: 6.0 mm (0.24 in.)
They look like crap, FWIW. I'm replacing them once my plates come in from the Department of Licensing.

I second that motion counsel.

Bought mine in TX (2 plate state), and I got two high tech, state of the art #3 phillips head stainless screws.

LOL! At least you got stainless. I had galvanized bolts that I replaced with the stainless. Had I left those there, my Tundra would've been crying rusty tears.
