I plan on getting one and I don't need the full load capacity. Can it be lowered 4" to 6" using a spring change? Is this lowering the whole truck too much for a spring change? Other sources claim a need to install 'offset' spindles up front.
RSC,
I checked the forum for the 2006 Toyota Tundra and found a link to somebody who builds lowering kits. I did not see any for the 2007, but it looks like they can lower the '06 as much as 4". It would be worth checking out and asking when they would have an '07 kit.
i plan on ordering the Mcgaughys 2/4 drop in the next couple weeks. Was going to wait and see if anyone came out with 4/6 drop, but it seems that ground forces kit will be less of a drop than the mcgaughys kit. Need to get this thing out of the air though, damn!
SOS makes a drop kit 2"/5" and even up to 6" if you use the top adjustment hole.
this was the first kit i found, but would rather have a lowered coil spring, then knock off the stock spring perch and glue another on. just seems more reliable with new spring. plus the sos kit is $700
ordered the mcgaughys kit last tues. be here before the 13th , will post pics as soon as the install is done. then the 22s and a 10" flip down and i will be done
waiting till next mo. Mcgaughys said they will have a lower, lowering kit so will wait to see if i get 22s' to go now, or 20s' with another 3" more of a drop
