$400 over is a great deal so long as that is the true invoice, not the dealer inflated one. Go to www.edmunds.com and build your truck to spec and see what invoice it feeds you.
A couple hundred over the true invoice is a great deal. Remember, they aren't a charity; they have to make some money...they usually make most their money on used car trades...

I cant find the TRUE invoice anywhere. Every place (edmunds, consumer reports, etc) gives me a different number. Regardless, no dealer is really willing to play ball. One will offer it to me at "invoice" but they have a reputation for being aggressive dealmakers.
The invoice number I'm talking about is the one right off the Toyota print out that any salesman can give out.
As a guy who sells these trucks, and believe me when I say they are a GREAT truck, anyone getting $400 over invoice is a deal I would tell my best friend or family to make, and yes they can and should be able to show you their invoice; it is a mark of integrity which should also be something you feel you are getting from your dealer. My interests are with the up coming plans to build a 1 ton diesel platform. Also commercial grade cab and chassis. Does anyone have any news on that?

On October 30 you'll find out...

Best I can seem to find in the greater Portland area is $700 over invoice and then minus $2500 rebate. Works out to about $5000 total, including rebate, off of MSRP on a $35k-$40k truck.
The problem in my area is that you can only get one or the other; the rebate or the financing option. I chose the 0% financing f/60 months option and got a 32,500 sticker priced tundra for a little over 29k. Then added 2k for my trade-in, tax, title, license.
07 Tundra crewmax TRD package, no leather, for 34K. There lease program seems good, look at it as cheap financing with a risidual of $20,700 after 3 years. I think I'm going to pull the trigger very soon on a new one.
Anyone looking to purchase a new Tundra might want to check out jimbarkleytoyota.com. The prices posted on their website are what you pay plus tax & tag. There are no other tacked on fees at all. If you are willing to drive to get your Tundra, you might save some serious dough by checking with jimbarkleytoyota first. I bought from them about 10 days ago and saved several thousand. I had to drive 325 miles to get it though. Crewmax limited 2wd
MSRP $40,854.00 Paid $33,513.00
