normally I stay in the camry forum, but things are changing and I'm actually looking at getting a custom built fifth wheel RV and it's going to be around 18,000 lbs to 22,000 lbs!
and I've looked around the official toyota site and I don't think even toyota's 5.7L heavy duty truck will pull it, but I may be mistaken! I really don't want to get a Silverado, though it looks like I may have to!
any strong toyota opinions would be very helpful! thanks, everyone!

yeah that's what I gathered from my researching! BOO! I suppose I will go with the silverado maybe! though, I thought i might ask, cause it's not listed on the toyota website, but when I was in TX I saw ads for A Tundra built "specifically for texans" is what they said, and it was bigger and more powerful, what's that all about? anyway, thanks for the input, guys!

What the hell is in the 5th wheel? Lead? That's a lot of weight, unless its a Toy Hauler...if you could wait another year, year 1/2, Toyota will have a 1 ton diesel (well, depending on October 30 SEMA), but your best bet is to go Ford or Chevy. Even Dodge has very nice 1-ton HD's and the Cummins engines are the shit.
Must be nice to have all this money to spend Share the wealth

I think you need to look into a smaller International or A Chevy Kodiak. That is a lot of weight. A 1-ton diesel will pull it, but it will always be on the ragged edge of overload. You wan't something that will comfortably tow that, and have a little capacity in reserve. I've been around 40 footers with a car hauler in the rear and two slide outs that didn't scale out more than 12-14K. I'm with MHadden, is it made of lead????

one of those was in the mall parking lot here the other day. Guy forgot to set his parking brake and the beast rolled right over the honda accord that was behind it. imagine if it had been driving.
