Does anyone know what the square plastic thing is on the headliner, right about the door. The dealer doesn't know.
I've been waiting to get a bug deflector. The parts guy says it's different for a regular cab, vs the double or crewmax. He says the hood is different. I can't tell any difference. Now he says Toyota put a stop on the part. Does anyone know what the problem(s) is/are for the bug deflector?
I saw a Tundra double cab, with running boards going back to the bed. Does anyone have a source to get these from. I've searched, but have not found any that go that far back.
Matt, I think he is talking about his regular cab tundra. BTW, I'm switching sides to the Tundra also. A guy at work made me an offer for the taco, and he had cash!!! I couldnt resist, just hope I dont regret it!!!

Heh heh heh, I knew you'd switch eventually Yeah, I wasn't paying attention, I was thinking this was in the Tacoma forum and his truck was a Taco. Man, I feel like a dumbass

The mic for the blue tooth is in the overhead console...the three little slots cut just above the right side of your head. The piece I think he's asking about is the plastic block that looks like the hangers in the rear....only of course there is no hook on this one. Not sure if it's for the Nav or what? It has a slot in either side that looks like you could pop it open with a small flat head screw driver...haven't done it yet though. Just had the front windows tinted in mine today, should have some pics posted soon. Black TRD, decked just shy of a limited with TRD Dual Cat back exhaust with the black cloth interior, drove it and had to trade the Taco in for it.
My DC has that little box on the headliner on the drivers side. Maybe part of the rollover sensing for the head/curtain airbags?? Magnetic beer can holder?? Kleenex dispenser??
Thanks for all the replies about the little square plastic thing on the headliner.
I'm going to go with the "roll-over" sensor, till I buy the repair manuals, and see what they say it is. If that's what it is, I don't want to mess with it.
I emailed Westin, asking about the "wheel to wheel" running boards for the regular cab, (they only list the DC or crewmax). No answer yet.
The bug deflector still has a stop on it, according to my dealer. Guess I'll just wait to see what they come out with.
11K miles, and no complaints. (other than no accessories for the regular cab.....)
