Changing color on our 2007 Tundra gauge

For those who are not blessed with the overpriced Limited edition, have any brave soul tried this mod on our 2007 Tundra yet?

I only got the truck less than a week...haven't grown an extra pair of balls to try 'em out yet

Yes, Jotaro did it for a Tundra member already:

I love the Optitron gauges, but I'm not sure if I actually like the difference in colors. Not sure why the limiteds have red/orange backlighting instead of a matching white. Even the key hole light and the temp/mpg display is in white...

hey mhadden, you don't have the limited (optitron) do you? Looking at the pic of your car, looks like you have the SR5 like mine. As far as i understand, limited have Optitron (white) as opposed to red/orange in contrary to your comment above. Keyhole is white for both.

do you know where I can buy the gauge for our 07 tundra (sr5). i wanted to do the conversion however incase i f*ck up, i can buy replacement. Link please

also, do you know if we can drive the truck around without gauge (in case I mail the gauge to Jotaro to do it for me).

Yes, sorry, I meant to say SR5, not limited. Sometime I wish I had the Limited trim, but I didn't want to fork out extra money for it. I doubt you can drive the truck around without it, although it is possible. Jotaro would have all the information. I'm just mearly a messenger.

that's cool man.

Do you have a pic of what the original limited gauge looks like? I saw the "modified" gauges but haven't seen the orig yet.
