You will not believe the ride. Mine is a non TRD 4x2, and it is the finest riding vehicle I have ever had. I am 63 years old, and have owned many great motor machines, and this is the best of them all. You must test drive one. I am in Northern Wisconsin right now, after a 850 mile trip from Tennessee. Twenty point oh five miles per gallon on the trip up here! That's using the a/c and burning 87 octane. Quiet, quiet quiet, I don't drive like an old man either.

I have to agree. I also own a 4x2 DC. Rides better than any vehicle I have had. The 4x4 TRD drove worse. It let's you feel every bump in the road. I test drove both and was sold on the ride quality of the 4x2 Non TRD model. I think the differnece is in the bilstein shocks that come on the TRD package. They ride very, very stiff. Also the 4x4 because it is heavier maybe, rides alot worse as well.
The ride is very quiet, even after I put new tires on. Comfort is excellent, I drove it for 7 hours and just shy of 500 miles today and didn't even get soar...only stopped once, and that was to get gas.

The ride with the TRD package is not very, very, very stiff as stated before. It still rides smoother than a 2wd F-150, and as smooth as my Autoride equipped Yukon did. Smoother than my Grand Cherokee Limited too. The non TRD is a bit smoother, almost to the point of being bouncy. I drove both back to back for a day each before I bought, and went with the TRD.

Tinted winders, partially shaved....the way I like my women!
i lowered mine a good bit this morning. Really stiffened the suspension up nicely. Now will upgrade wheels and tires and get rid of the tire roll on cornering. gonna get this thing riding nice and stiff
I have the DC 4X4 in TRD and I have no complaints. I previously had a Ford F-150 4 X 4. The ride is so quiet that it feells like you are going 5-10 mph slower or at least it does to me...You ahve to be careful not to go too fast..especialluy with the 5.7...
I have the 4.7, 4x2 TRD DC. This truck drives very well. If you do over say a bumpy or potholed road you will feel the bumps. The truck will react I think as any other truck would. With the TRD package the ride is a little more stiff than non TRD. I test drove both and got the TRD. In my case, though the TRD truck had many more options and was a much more loaded vehicle than the first one. For me it was more of the choice of options availiable with each vehicle.
I would test drive both and keep in mind what options you want and how much you're willing to spend. I couldn't afford the limited, and the TRD had alot of the options that I wanted, so I got the TRD and I've been very happy with it.
As far as wind noise, I have not experienced any invasive wind noise. This is probably the quietest truck I've driven.
