Please post any comments and pics of the tube steps or nerf bars you had installed on your Tundra. I saw where several people have bought the JC Whitney Black or Stainless ones for a real good price and seem fairly satisfied.
I am considering the black, but was interested in whether there are others out there I should consider...Taking quality and price into consideration...i.e. I don't wanna spend a fortune...Thanks

I had Tech Tubes installed on my Tundra for 1 day. They creaked and groaned like crazy when driving the truck. I returned them the next day and haven't bothered looking for another set yet. I think the problem was that they clamped to the frame AND the body. There is movement between the two and the tubes were flexing.

Mine are the OEM ones...expensive at $600, but they are stainless and help protect against rock chips and worm/bug guts when raining. It's funny how I didn't care about this with my Tacoma, but this thing I do

mhadden, do the tubes make any noises? Like creaking noises? I want to get a new set of tubes but don't know which brand is best.
Thanks!

Nope, no noises at all...
EDIT: By the way, these OEM ones are bolted to the cab, not the frame....I'll take pics to show you if you want them (but it won't be until tomorrow). There's 8 bolts per side.

Thanks guys...knowing what doesbn't work is just as important as what does...I have black on my F-150 I am trying to sell and not sure if I want to bite the bullet on the stainless. The black faded over time, but I really never thought too much about it until now.
Thanks for the reasons why you like the stainless...More comments are welcome.
I need to take a pic of my truck and load in my sig...Everytime I think about it, it's dark outside...
Date night Gotta lov'em.

They are attached to the cab on what appear to be pre-tapped holes, so look up underneath your truck and see if it has screw holes...if it does, you're good to go

I installed a set of ARIES Stainless Nerf Bars they bolted to the body, about half hour per side, cost $289.95 plus $39.00 for shipping, Hasel
I went with the Raptor stainless 4" oval nerf bars. Love them. Bolted up to the factory locations, simple install, $310 including shipping - got them in 2 days. Don't know all the rules on this forum (I'm a brand new member) but if you want to know where I scored my set, PM me & I'll let ya know where I got them.
