Hi, I'm new to the forums as well as to the Tundra. As a matter of fact, I'm new to trucks too as this is my first truck. And according to all the reads online, I apparently chose the best one at that. Looks like a nice place you guys keep here. Glad to be aboard.
What I would like is for someone to please post or link some (unmodified) truck quarter mile ETs. I'm interested to know how my 07 Tundra DC compares with all the rest of the industry. I think the Tundra is the quickest of all the 1/2 ton work trucks at 14.7ish right?
I just went to Santa Pod Raceway in England today and ran a 14.42 @ 94.5 mph on pump gas. I'll post some pics and the time slips soon.
Wow, you just bettered TruckTrend's time, good stuff
You can turn off traction control too, right? Have you try a run of each, having it on and having it off? Maybe faster with TC on, but mostly depends on the driver's skill IMO

I am new to the forum as well. Hello TN members.
I have owned my 5.7 RC/SB 4X2 for about 4 months now. Made it out to Bremerton Speedway yesterday where I clocked a 14.137 @ 97.32. I did five or so runs. Never was above 14.27 or so. This
is bone stock. Am trying to get in to the high 13's if able. Edited to show timeslips.

It says I may not post attachments for some reason, but when I can I will
post my timeslip.
So the 4x2 is definitely a little quicker than the 4x4, that can be sure
Have you play with the rear tire pressure? I wonder if it'll make a small difference when lowering the pressure by a few psi Either way that's an amazing time by a freakin' stock half-ton

haha much like the Paperplane game thread Flight Simulator
I'll start a ranking in this thread (or a new thread, MODS? ) for new Tundra's 1/4mile time. Only legal runs are recommended (streetracing is a in TN), so a pic of the time-slip is strongly encouraged
Nice picture. It looks like you had your tailgate down too.
My RCSB weighs 4860 with a little less than 1/2 tank. Weighs 5100 with
me inside. I had my tailgate up when I made my run. I had a blast!
Look forward to breaking in to the 13's.
Funny, but I've also noticed they run much faster cars against stock trucks for some reason......
they did the same to me. I wish they could line up the closest competitor to you to make it
a closer race.

yeah, mine weighs 5500 without me, 5700 with. Gonna get a CAI next month so maybe that will help. Possibly a new tune program.
Well you have a darn nice truck. That is a very good time for the rig you have. I wanted one in black, but the flippin' dealer could not obtain it. I think if you go with intake and dual exhaust, you will pick up .2 in the quarter. Good luck to you!!

The 4x2 DC weighs about 300lbs less than the similarly equipped 4x4. The rule of thumb is 100lbs = 1/10th of a second, so that would sound about right comparing his times vs TruckTrend.

Thats true to a point. It also depends on what type of launch you get. I recently clocked a 13.99 bone stock on my G-tech with two runs back to back at 14.00 and 14.01. This was due to cooler weather and the all important launch.

That is true as well. However, weight has more of a factor than launch. Take for example your truck versus mine. I could have the perfect launch and not touch 13.99 - due to my truck weighing more. The only way I could get that time is to have a power adder (nitrous, bolt-ons) or serious weight reduction.
