What features/options were/are on your "must have" list?

What features and/or options are must-haves for you? When you were shopping (or while you are shopping now) what are you looking for as deal breakers or makers?

I'm thinking 5.7 and bucket systems is a must, with color (white, silver, grey, mica) second, and possibly factory nav third.

How about you?

I wanted the 5.7, 4WD, tow pack, TRD and cloth seats in white, Double Cab. I wanted all that on the truck I got....and some other goodies thrown in!

4WD, 5.7 and CrewMax were required. I pretty much got what I wanted, but wish I would've waited for one with Sonar and the upgraded radio (only so I could use my satellite radio through it and not a separate unit.

For me it had to have Cloth not Leather. My last truck had leather, it was nice at first, but started to lookk like crap and not as comfortable or durable as cloth. The DVD Nav system and backup camera is awesome. The backup camera is so, so nice when backing up to a boat. Putting the boat in used to be rough, not anymore. The NAVI system is great with integrated hands free blue tooth for the phone. Simply awesome! The nice thing also with the NAVI/Backup Monitor option is the radio controls are on the steering wheel and the system is a JBL. Sounds incredible. At first I regreted not going with 4wd. but I live in Georgia. The truck gets great gas mileage without it. I have taken it hunting, pulled my boat out of a steep algea covered ramp with the Traction Control button. I have gone camping in some pretty far trails. It got in and out, no problem. Thinking back I used the 4wd on my last truck twice. Probably didn't even need to. I love this truck!!!

Had to be Crewmax. I have 4 kids, and drive 3 of them to school 3 days a week. DoubleCab would have left me in the same situation as the Tacoma I had. Wanted SR5, not Limited, mostly because of cost. Wanted 4WD, because I would have felt like an idiot having a truck this big and getting stuck in the snow!! And, of course, had to have the 5.7 liter. I couldn't see going with the smaller engine after test driving it. This is more truck than I needed, honestly, but I was sold after the first 2 minutes in it.

5.7L, 4.30 gears, and floor shifter.

I live in an area where it hasn't snowed in 10,000 years, so 4wd was an option, but not must.

That's how I felt with my last truck. I paid extra for 4wd (not to mention the extra maintenance) and I used it only a couple times. Not because I needed to, but just to do it.
