Aux input volume to soft?

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I used my aux input on my 07 today for the first time. It sucks. It's so quiet even with the ipod turned all the way up I need to have the stereo on like 50 just to be able to tell what song it is. Anyone else have this problem??

I was going to say turn up your IPOD to the MAX, but it seems you have already tried that. I would 1st verify your connection was good (IE: plugged in solid on both ends, this happened to me once) and second maybe consider getting a high quality connection. I bought that was of poor quality, and found that after buying a better one, the sound was much stronger. Have you tried another IPOD besides your own?

I don't think it matters...the stock radio is pretty shitty, but I refuse to go aftermarket as well. When listening to Sirius, which is connected by aux wire, I have the output on the unit all the way up and the radio on 30 or so to listen to it. The radio stations are like that too, and sometimes I have to turn it up to 40 or a little over. I guess I don't like seeing a "high" number on the display (because I'm used to seeing 15 or below).

Volume is just one small irk, there's also a shitton of bass coming out of the speakers, even with the bass setting turned on -4 and the treble on +3...that's the best setting I've found (non-JBL single CD)

Thanks guys...the problem was my ipod i think. It stopped working altogether for a while today (it wasn't the battery though). When I got in the truck tonight, I tried it again and it worked great, nice and loud. But yes - a shit-ton of bass.

I have a Sony mp3 player, the volume on it is waaaay lower than it should be through the AUX port, too. Just a sub-par stereo, IMO.
