4x4 Propeller shaft RECALL -Panic Time

Just heard theres a recall on Tundra 4x4s, anyway 15,600 are affected supposedly. Just breaking news, but whos got the real facts on this?? Production dates, etc?

There is only 1 reported failure out of over 200 000 trucks, and they are going to send a letter to every owner who might have a problem to get the part tested and replaced if need be. Calm down.

Yeah, I'd say nothing to worry about. Besides, excluding your time to take it to the dealership, it's free, and it'll be "fixed". Even if mine is recalled, I don't plan on getting it done right away...

Panic about what? I'll get it fixed (If on the list) next time in for an oil change. This is a Toyota recall not a govt recall. They'll fix it and fix it right! I've had experience w/ Toyota in the past on minor recall issues. Very up front, convienent and hassle free. Got 100% reimbursement on a Corolla issue that was 3 years out-of-warranty! I couldn't get a Z-28 or a Trans Am GTA fixed right under warranty. Sounds like a quick simple fix.

Thats no big deal..just get it fixed and your back on the road.
