Track Racing Techniques

While I've played around a few times at the local 1/8th mile track, I'm curious what some of you guys are doing. For example,

Auto LSD on?
VSC off?
Tow/Haul on?
Sport mode or just leave it in Drive?
At what rpm are you powerbraking to?

I found with the VSC off, I spent more time spinning than launching. My personal favorite is AutoLSD on, Tow/Haul on, Sport mode set to 4th, powerbraking to around 1300 rpm's.

Tow/haul defiantely on. It adjuste the throttle to be more sensitive and allows for slightly more performance and better shifting. But FYI, when you put the transmission in "S mode", the tow/haul feature doesn't work, but the light will be on. Leave it in D when using tow/haul. I would activate the auto LSD as no matter if its on or off, it still roasts the tires in 1st and halfway through second. The key will be throttle moducaltion until you are going about 10mph...and I don't powerbrake this truck, but I'd bet that the stall speed is somewhat high.

I didn't know about tow/haul deactivation when in s-mode. Thank you for telling me!

I was getting no whell spin with TRAC and AUTO LSD off and not touching the gas at all until the lights. I tried to rev up to about 1400 the first time and ran 15.3. The second time I didn't rev at all and ran 14.4.
